IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES with your AOL Web Browser ..PLEASE DO NOT "EXPECT ME" to sort out all of your issues. LisaSkirts.com® is "compatible" with the low "bare minimum" internet standards applied by AOL, but for goodness sakes ..I am certainly not going to take responsibility for your disappointment with their "plug and pray" products.

BECAUSE ..you will not be the first AOL CUSTOMER with browsing issues ..and by far, you will certainly not be the last, PEOPLE LIKE ME have studied and researched AOL trends ..and have developed solutions for resolving just about EVERY AOL MISHAP.

We call this EDUCATION ..that you won't find from an AOL Customer Service Representative, reading a script over in India. That's a Promise!

ON THAT NOTE ..I am happy to help you, but ultimately, AOL is responsible for YOUR Customer Service Issues.

DO NOT! Attempt to use the tools that AOL provides with their operating system to download, unzip or view any of the fetish video content distributed from LisaSkirts.com®

The AOL Operating System Platform is not capable of normal internet standards, and the results will be absolutely frustrating ..to say the very least!

Additionally ..you may experience FTP CONNECTION DIFFICULTIES if you use AOL as your primary Internet Web Browser. For more information regarding AOL and FTP Connectivity, please keep reading.

AOL Web Browser Tips and Tools

If AOL is your Primary Internet Browser Resource
and if you experience difficulty displaying images or playing multimedia files when browsing the internet...THERE IS A REASON FOR THAT!

AOL's "built in" internet browser DOES NOT display internet graphics, photos and/or video files correctly

Instead of displaying crisp, clear graphic, AOL compresses the file and you get an image that looks like this:

THIS IS AN "ACTUAL" AOL SCREEN SNAP. PRETTY BLURRY HUH?

AOL by default uses compressed graphics that makes some pictures display in poor quality. If you are viewing webpages and thee quality of thee graphic image or video file appears poorly, it is not thee WebMaster, AOL is the most likely cause

And for this reason, I do not recommend using thee AOL built in browser to view LisaSkirts.com® or any of it's features if you have thee capacity to open another browser resource while being connected to AOL.

Internet Browsing standards include:
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or HIGHER DOWNLOAD
Netscape 7.0 or HIGHER DOWNLOAD

If you "insist" that you "have to use" your AOL Web Browser, instead of a more suitable web browswer resource you can typically "temporarily solve" some of your problems by doing the following:

From the AOL (Almost Online) Main Screen select: My AOL > Preferences >WWW

Select: Web Graphics Tab and uncheck the "Use Compressed Graphics" check box

WE HAVE COVERED ..what you will SEE and WHAT YOU SHOULD EXPECT to get from AOL, which leads me to the topic of sending e-mail to LisaSkirts.com® for technical service issues.

AGAIN! I am committed to assist you, but you MUST ADJUST your AOL E-Mail settings ..prior to sending your requests.

By default, AOL has set your AOL preferences to NOT INCLUDE "previous" e-mail strings. It is only for their benefit, that they elect to pre-set this value for you. IT IS NOT IN YOUR BEST INTEREST to get in to a technical conversation with me, and not have all previous e-mail correspondance available for review.

ALL E-MAIL CONVERSATION must be available FOR ME, if you wish to quickly and painlessly resolve your issue. NO EXCEPTIONS!

I hope that you find this information useful because...I certainly could go on and on about the Tragedies of using AOL's "PLUG and PRAY" reliability.

As a result of this ..I have provided "ALL" of my LisaSkirts.com® Members with a variety of tools and suggestions, to make your visit to LisaSkirts.com® a simple, and more manageable experience, because that is what the"Real Internet" is supposed to be!

LisaSkirts.com® ..Getting the Basics Right
"Hype about Web 2.0 is making web firms neglect the basics of good design"

The rush to make webpages more dynamic often meant users were badly served.

Sites peppered with personalisation tools were in danger of resembling the "glossy but useless" sites at the height of the dotcom boom.

Research into website use shows that sites were better off getting the basics right.

"User tests"
Describing Web 2.0 as the "latest fashion", many sites paying attention to it were neglecting some of the principles of good design and usability established over the last decade.

Good practices include making a site easy to use, good search tools, the use of text free of jargon, usability testing and a consideration of design even before the first line of code is written.

Sadly, the rush to embrace Web 2.0 technology meant that many firms were turning their back on the basics.

"Again it should be emphasized that, web designers should get the basics right first."
"Sadly most websites do not have those primary things right."

There is a looming risk, of a return to the dotcom boom days when many sites, looked great but were terrible to use.

"The idea of community, user generated content and more dynamic web pages are not inherently bad in the same way, they should be secondary to the primary things sites should get right."

"The main criticism or problem is that I do not think these things are as useful as the primary things."

Well-established patterns of user involvement with sites also lead website developers to question the sense of adopting Web 2.0 technologies.

"Research suggests that users of a site split into three groups"
One that regularly contributes (about 1%); a second that occasionally contributes (about 9%); and a majority who almost never contribute (90%).

By definition, only a small number of users are likely to make significant use of all the tools a site provides.

While some sites with particular demographics, such as MySpace, which have large involved communities of users that will not hold true for all sites.

"Most people just want to get in, get it and get out."

"For them the web is not a goal in itself. It is a tool."

Web firms rushing to serve the small, committed minority might find they make a site far less useful to the vast majority who come to a site for a specific purpose.

Statisticical skeptics also question championing teenage use of the web as a harbinger of what people will continue to do when they were older.

Although people in their late 30s make very different use of the web to those in their teens, we should expect that when those teenagers grow up the time they spend online will diminish.

"It's because they are 20 years old that they act differently to 40-year-olds."
